Well done to all the North Coasters that made the trip to compete in the inaugural Asia Pacific IM in Melbourne. Some great results, but none better than Helen’s, who has realised a dream and is on her way to Kona. You worked so hard Helen and you are an inspiration to all North Coasters.
Even though the weather conditions were not ideal first thing in the morning, with a fairly rough swim and a fare wind on the bike and run, the race was again a fantastic success with the 1597 individuals and 457 teams taking on the conditions with ease. The sun eventually showed its face, the wind dropped and the day turned out to be another stunning event for all who participated and spectated.
Welcome to Coogee Beach Ocean Adventure and Coogee Beach Triathlon (WA Summer Triathlon Series Event 5). The Ocean Adventure event is ideal for the beginner Adventure racer right through to those with experience. The event is held concurrently with the Coogee Beach Triathlon on the same course which enables all competitors to find an event that suits their own individual abilities and training while providing a challenge.
It was hot and humid one moment, then wet and stormy the next. But that didn’t let the fickle and punishing weather rain on the parade. Congratulations on finishing the 6th edition of Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore Triathlon! Whether you were there to meet your personal goal or qualify for the Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Las Vegas, a big pat on the back for a job well done to Al, Phil & Barry who all qualified for the Long Course World Championships.
