Tour de Lancelin 2018
October 6 @ 6:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Tour de Lancelin will be on Saturday 6th October this year. The event is a Fundraiser for two worthy charities, ‘Fight MND’ and ‘The Fathering Project’. This is a free event, but we encourage people to donate on the day (we recommend $10). We are organising a bus to bring people back at $15 a head (or 3 stamps of your training card) and a trailer for bikes. There is an announcement on the FaceBook page and we encourage you to respond as to whether you will be attending.

Get yourselves ready for an awesome ride through some beautiful rolling countryside, following the same route as 2016.
All Club members are welcome to join this ride and support crew/vehicles are encouraged. The full ride distance is 135k (one way), but if that distance seems daunting, grab a team mate or two and just ride a section. Of course, you don’t even have to ride – come up and stay for a pub lunch and enjoy to the stories of the adventure the riders had! You can bring the family for a fun day out too. There will be a car following riders so if needed you will be able to pull out at any time.
Wheels rolling at 6am from McDonalds Currambine, cnr of Delamere Ave & Marmion Ave. This is an ideal start point as the McDonalds is open 24 hours, there’s ample parking, toilets for that last nervous visit and pre-ride coffee. Aim to arrive for 5.45am. David Martin will be the ride leader for this event.
We will also have water, juice and lollies in the car that we can hand out along the way. Please remember to pack spare tubes etc and ensure you have lights on your bike.
At the halfway point (about – 60 km), we will be guests of Bill & Lill at the Willowbrook Farm Caravan Park (1679 Gingin Brook Road, Neergabby WA 6503), who will be providing everyone with coffee, tea and the most delicious scones and jam you have ever tasted! If you are planning on driving up and meeting us at Willowbrook, riders will probably be there by about 8.30am-9:00am or so.

Please print a copy of the map to bring with you.
This year we have hired bus to bring people and bikes back (from Lancelin only).
We look forward to seeing lots of you there.
