Congratulations to all the Award recipients from yesterday’s End of Season Function.  A list of all award winners will be published separately during the week.


Ironman & 70.3 Training Squad information night will be on

Tuesday, 3rd July starting at 7pm. 

Venue will be advised in the coming days.

Be you a first timer, multi finisher, front of pack, back of pack or in-betweener, if you’re looking to compete in the Busselton Ironman or 70.3 on December 2nd this year and wish to prepare yourself in not only the best possible and time effective manner, but do it all within a super fun, highly motivating squad environment, then the 2018 Busso IM / 70.3 NCTC Preparation Squad is due your serious consideration.

As much as we all wish we could – performing at our best doesn’t just happen; it’s a culmination of a long, purposeful, often demanding and testing journey and whilst good results and / or personal satisfaction don’t just happen without good ol’ ‘nose to the grindstone’ work ethic – It certainly doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. The program will be an opportunity you won’t want to miss and whilst the squad concept is already a wonderful experience for everyone involved – it only gets better the more numbers we have.


MONDAY 25th June

SWIMMING: JUNIOR SWIM SQUAD

Venue: HBF Arena Joondalup, Kennedya Drive
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $10 per session paid via a Training Card purchased through Register Now or Direct Deposit.  See below for details.

TUESDAY 26th June

RIDE: ILUKA LOOPS

Venue: Meet at Celebrations Whitfords
Time: 5:45am – 7:00am
Details: This is the regular Tuesday morning club ride. There are three ride plans catering for all speeds of riders: Group 1 – plus 32km/hr, Group 2 – plus 28km/hr, Group 3 less 28km/hr.  This is a high-intensity training session with a mix of fast, flat sections plus 3-7 hills and dedicated recovery points.  The ride is suitable for all levels, see WEBSITE for more information.

RUN: TEMPO TRAINING

Venue: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys.
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $5 or less with a Training Card purchased through Register Now or Direct Deposit.  See below for details.
Details:  Tempo runs help you develop your anaerobic or lactate threshold (LT), which is critical for running faster.   Tuesday Tempo will be longer paced efforts and the perfect complement to the Thursday night interval sessions.

This session is suitable for all levels.


WEDNESDAY 27th June

SWIMMING: SQUADS AT CRAIGIE

Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre
Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Cost: $10 or less with a Training Card purchased through Register Now or Direct Deposit.  See below for details.
Details: Indoor squad in 25m pool and outdoor squad in 50m pool.  The indoor squad is for adults and juniors (12+) who need swim fitness, stroke correction and technique development.  The outdoor session is based on building pace awareness and speed. Refer Website for more information.


THURSDAY 28th June

RIDE: HEPBURN LOOPS

Venue: Meet at Celebrations Whitfords
Time: 5:45am– 7:00am
Details: The Hepburn Loops ride is based on laps around a 10km circuit in Hillarys.  Ideally, the first loop is done at any easy pace and then we build the pace for each lap – the aim is to keep the pace consistent throughout the whole lap – no surging, no sprint efforts. The final lap is your fastest effort but steady the whole way. Great training for everyone.

RUN: INTERVAL TRAINING

Venue: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys.
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm

FRIDAY 29th June

SWIMMING: CRAIGIE LEISURE CENTRE

Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre – 50m outdoor pool
Time: 10:30am – 11:30am
Cost: $10 or less with Training Card purchased through Register Now or Direct Deposit.  See below for details.
Details: Take your pick: – short set up to 2.2km; longer set 2.7-3km. Pacing as per program with drills to develop technique.


SATURDAY 30th June

RIDE: GUILDFORD HILLS – MEDIUM REVERSE

Venue: Meet at Guildford Train Station
Time: 7:00am
Details:  The Guildford Hills ride is a popular hills ride.  Today the medium ride will be done in reverse, arrive early for ride briefing.  Stuart will be ride leader.

RIDE: NOVICE/JUNIORS RIDE & CHOCOLATIERS

The Chocolatiers and Novice riding group will be taking a small break over the winter months. If you wish to ride on a Saturday morning over the winter, please contact Moya at secretary@northcoasttriclub.org.au

Our club is run by a Board consisting of an enthusiastic group of people all keen to make our club grow and flourish. We need new members to join the Board to continue this role as there are a number of current Board members leaving this season.
