Charity: Cure Brain Cancer Foundation
All club members are welcome to join this ride and support crew/vehicles are encouraged. The full ride distance is 130k (one way), but if that distance seems daunting, grab a team mate or two and just ride a section. Of course, you don’t even have to ride – come up and stay for a pub lunch and enjoy the stories of the adventure the riders had! You can bring the family for a fun day out too.
As many of you know, each year there is a nominated charity for the Lancelin ride and we ask for a donation large or small. On this year’s ride we will be riding to raise much needed funds for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, nominated by Darren Hine.
Wheels rolling at 6am from McDonalds Currambine, cnr of Delamere Ave & Marmion Ave. This is an ideal start point as the McDonalds is open 24 hours, there’s ample parking, toilets for that last nervous visit and pre-ride coffee. Aim to arrive for 5.45am. Stuart King will be the ride leader for this event.
There will be at least one car following riders for support.
We will also have water, juice and lollies in the car that we can hand out along the way. Please remember to pack spare tubes etc and ensure you have lights on your bike.
At the halfway point (about – 60 km), we will be guests of Bill & Lill at the Willowbrook Farm Caravan Park (1679 Gingin Brook Road, Neergabby WA 6503), who will be providing everyone with coffee, tea and the most delicious scones and jam you have ever tasted! If you are planning on driving up and meeting us at Willowbrook, riders will probably be there by about 8.30am-9:00am or so.

Please print a copy of the map to bring with you. If you’d like a PDF version, please email Kelli on firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year we have hired a 13 seater bus and special bike trailer to bring people and bikes back (from Lancelin only). If you want spot (and have not responded to the face book post), please email Kelli on email@example.com. The cost will be $15 each, payable in advance by Sunday 18 September. Please pay by direct deposit (as you would a training card). If more than 13 people need a spot on the bus, we can also hopefully also bring people back in cars.

If you intend in coming (and have not responded to the face book post), please email Kelli on firstname.lastname@example.org as I need to know approx. numbers for the scones (for riders, family and support crew). Kelli can also send you a map and route directions.
We look forward to seeing lots of you there.
