The Club Annual Awards and End of Year Function is on Saturday, 24th June at The Carine, starting at 3pm. Make sure if you have not already, register your attendance now through REGISTER NOW.

Club Person of the Year Nominations are now open.   It’s time to put in a nomination or two or more for people you believe should be recognised for their contribution to the club.  Please get your nomination in, on or before Sunday 4th June 2017 via email to Emma Bott at elouise@iinet.net.au – please put in the Subject: Club Person of the Year Nomination 2017 and in the details we need the person you are nominating and a brief sentence about what the person did or does for the club that is worthy of the nomination.


SWIMMING: JUNIORS SWIM SQUAD – No Squad on Public Holiday

TUESDAY 6th June


Venue: Meet at Celebrations Whitfords
Time: 6:00am – 7:15am
Details:  Road works are on route, take care. See ride details on the Website.



Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre
Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Cost: $10 or less with a training card
Details: Indoor squad in 25m pool, outdoor squad in 50m pool.  The indoor squad is for adults and juniors (12+) who need swim fitness, stroke correction and technique development.  The outdoor session is based on building pace awareness and speed. Refer website for more information.

Time: 6:00am– 7:15am

Venue: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $5 or less with a training card.
Details: Mike Bosch coaches this session and is suitable for all levels. For details see the Run Training section.

FRIDAY 9th June


Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre – 50m outdoor pool
Time: 10:30am – 11:30am  (2 lanes)
Cost: $10 or less with a training card.
Details: Take your pick: – short set up to 2.2km; longer set 2.7-3km. Pacing as per program with drills to develop technique.

SATURDAY 10th June


Venue: Meet at Guildford Train Station
Time: 6:30am –  9.30am
Details:  Now this is a ride 🙂  But don’t be put off, you will be glad you did it!  Distance is 79.3km.  Pace will be suitable for all and there will be regular regrouping points.   See WEBSITE for more information.


Venue: Meet at Sorrento Surf Club (Northside)
Time: 6:30am – 8:30am
Details: This ride is a semi-coached social ride for adults and older juniors just starting up in cycling or returning to cycling after a lay-off. Distance covered will usually be around 30km with average speeds around 25km/hr. Coaching on cycling technique and copious amounts of encouragement will be provided during this ride.  No one gets left behind!!!


Venue: Sorrento Surf Club
Time: 6:30am
Details: The Chocolatiers are an intermediate group ride. The ride is ideal as a training or social ride for all age groups and all levels of cycling ability. Distances travelled usually between 45km to 60km with an average speed less than 26km/hour.

SUNDAY 11th June


Ironman & 70.3 Busselton Squad Information Session

Venue: Sorrento Community Centre, Padbury Circle Sorrento
Date: Wednesday, 14th June 2017
Time: 7pm
Details: The information session will answer all your questions regarding the training squads beginning in July.  Be you a first timer, multi finisher, front of pack, back of pack or in-betweener, if you’re looking to compete in the Busselton Ironman or 70.3 on December 3rd this year and wish to prepare yourself in not only the best possible and time effective manner, but do it all within a super fun, highly motivating squad environment, then the 2017 Busso IM / 70.3 NCTC Preparation Squad is due your serious consideration.  Email Brad at brad@t6d.com.au for more details and information.


Venue: The Carine (493 Beach Road, Duncraig)
Date: 24h June 2017
Time: from 3pm.
Cost: $20 for adults (18+), 6-17 year olds $10 and 5 and under free.
Details: This year is a more casual affair with light refreshments being provided throughout the afternoon till about 5.30pm when formalities should conclude.  You are then welcome to stay on for dinner or drinks at the Carine (at own expense).  Bookings for the afternoon are through Register Now, just follow this LINK.
