Best of luck to all those competing in Busselton this weekend.  For those racing hope you achieve your goals, and those participating hope you have a great time.  See you down there and don’t forget to smile.

Last Spin session this week.  Look out for more sessions leading up to the Ironman in December.

The Annual Awards and End of Year Function will be held at The Carine (493 Beach Road, Duncraig) on 24th June from 3pm.  The Cost is $20 for adults (18+), 6-17 year olds $10 and 5 and under free.  Light refreshments provided. Bookings through Register Now will be open shortly.

MONDAY 1st May

SWIMMING: JUNIORS SWIM SQUAD

Venue: HBF Arena Joondalup, Kennedya Drive
Time:6:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $10 per session paid via a swim card through register now ($90 for 10 sessions).

CYCLING: SPIN/ERGO – Last session

Venue: Coles Underground Carpark No. 9, Whitfords Shopping Centre, entry off Banks Ave.
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm (approx.)
Cost: $5 per session CASH ONLY
Details: Brad Hosking ergo session starts promptly at 6:30pm so arrive early for set up.  BYO windtrainer, water and towel.

TUESDAY 2nd May

RIDE: ILUKA LOOP

Venue: Meet at Celebrations Whitfords
Time: 6:00am – 7:15am
Details:  Road works are on route, take care. See ride details on the website.

RUN: TEMPO TRAINING

Venue: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys.
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $5.  Please purchase training card to minimise cash handling.

WEDNESDAY 3rd May

SWIMMING: SQUADS AT CRAIGIE (7.30pm -outdoor pool only, last session tonight)

Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre
Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm & 7:30pm – 8:30pm (new session-outdoor pool until 3rd May)
Cost: $10 or less with a training card
Details: Indoor squad in 25m pool, outdoor squad in 50m pool.  The indoor squad is for adults and juniors (12+) who need swim fitness, stroke correction and technique development.  The outdoor session is based on building pace awareness and speed. Refer website for more information.


THURSDAY 4th May

RIDE: HEPBURN LOOPS

Venue: Meet at Celebrations Whitfords
Time: 6:00am– 7:15am

RUN: INTERVAL TRAINING

Venue: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $5 or less with a training card.
Details: Mike Bosch is back and will be taking both groups for training.  For details about these sessions, see the Run Training section.

FRIDAY 5th May

SWIMMING: CRAIGIE LEISURE CENTRE

Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre – 50m outdoor pool
Time: 10:30am – 11:30am  (2 lanes)
Cost: $10 or less with a training card.
Details: Take your pick: – short set up to 2.2km; longer set 2.7-3km. Pacing as per program with drills to develop technique.


SATURDAY 6th May

Due to the Busselton 70.3 on Sunday, there are no scheduled rides.  If you’re not heading down to Busselton, please go to our Facebook Page and organise your ride there.


SUNDAY 7th May

SWIMMING: OPEN WATER

Venue: Sorrento Beach
Time: 8am
Details: This is a non-coached open water swim for anyone interested to swim as a mob from the beach. Distances depend on the day and what people feel like doing. Meet at the top of the steps at the wall above the beach, just south of the Club rooms.
