Nominations for Life Members are also open.  There is a formal procedure in place for this process, and all nominations must be submitted accordingly. For the submission details please check this page Life Member Nominations.  All submissions to be forwarded to Dave Norton via email nortondo@me.com with the subject line showing “Life Member Nomination”.

 

We also have some hoodies for sale, you need to pre-order through Register now.  These are very high quality and will be great for those cold winter days and nights after your swim, cycle or run training.

We are looking for volunteers for the following event:

Womens Tri  12th March, Whitfords Nodes for athlete recovery  and Hillarys Tri – 9th April, Whitfords Nodes for registration, body marking and recovery.  Volunteering for these events help our volunteering families with expenses heading to the School Sports competition in NSW.

 

Run training on Tuesday and Thursday nights are back to a 6pm start.  These sessions are great for all abilities and as we all know, interval and tempo training are an essential part of your running program. 

MONDAY 20th February

SWIMMING: JUNIORS SWIM SQUAD

Venue: HBF Arena Joondalup, Kennedya Drive
Time:6:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $10 per session paid via a swim card through register now ($90 for 10 sessions).

CYCLING: SPIN/ERGO

Venue: Coles Underground Carpark No. 9, Whitfords Shopping Centre, entry off Banks Ave.
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm (approx.)
Cost: $5 per session CASH ONLY
Details: Brad Hosking ergo session starts promptly at 6:30pm so arrive early for set up.  BYO windtrainer, water and towel.

TUESDAY 21st February

RIDE: ILUKA LOOPS

Venue: Meet at Celebrations Whitfords
Time: 5:45am – 7:00am

RUN: TEMPO TRAINING (NEW START TIME)

Venue: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys.
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $5.  Please purchase training card to minimise cash handling.
Details:  Tempo run session with Mike Bosch.


WEDNESDAY 22nd February

SWIMMING: SQUADS AT CRAIGIE (7.30pm session-outdoor pool only)

Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre
Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm & 7:30pm – 8:30pm (new session-outdoor pool)
Cost: $10 or less with a training card
Details: Indoor squad in 25m pool, outdoor squad in 50m pool.  The indoor squad is for adults and juniors (12+) who need swim fitness, stroke correction and technique development.  The outdoor session is based on building pace awareness and speed. Refer website for more information.


THURSDAY 23rd February

RIDE: HEPBURN LOOPS

Venue: Meet at Celebrations Whitfords
Time: 5:45am – 7:00am

RUN: INTERVAL TRAINING (NEW START TIME)

Venue: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys
Time: 6:00pm – 7:0pm
Cost: $5 or less with a training card.
Details: 2 groups to choose from Juniors and Beginner/Techniques group (Janine Kaye) and Advanced/Performance Group (Mike Bosch). For details about these sessions, see the Run Training section.


FRIDAY 24th February

SWIMMING: CRAIGIE LEISURE CENTRE

Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre – 50m outdoor pool
Time: 10:30am – 11:30am  (2 lanes)
Cost: $10 or less with a training card.
Details: Take your pick: – short set up to 2.2km; longer set 2.7-3km. Pacing as per program with drills to develop technique.


SATURDAY 25th February

RIDE: YANCHEP/TWO ROCKS

Venue: Meet at Sorrento Surf Club
Time: 6:00am –  9.30am
Details:  Ye olde favourite?  Great for Busselton 70.3 training.

RIDE: NOVICE/JUNIORS RIDE  (No rides until further notice)

RIDE: CHOCOLATIERS

Venue: Meet at Sorrento Surf Club
Time: 6:00am
Details: The Chocolatiers are an intermediate group ride. The ride is ideal as a training or social ride for all age groups and all levels of cycling ability. Distances travelled usually between 45km to 60km with an average speed less than 26km/hour.  Head up to Yanchep with the main group.


SUNDAY 26th February

SWIMMING: OPEN WATER

Venue: Sorrento Beach
Time: 8am
Details: This is a non-coached open water swim for anyone interested to swim as a mob from the beach. Distances depend on the day and what people feel like doing. Meet at the top of the steps at the wall above the beach.
