The NCTC State Aquathlon is on this Friday Night.  Registration has been extended, come on, join the action and register NOW. Follow the link to register….. NOW.

Just a reminder for anyone who has made the decision to join the NCTC Busselton 70.3 preparation squad, to please email Brad at brad@t6d.com.au ASAP with your intent and details, even if you have passed this on verbally. Numbers need to be finalised and details sorted.  The more that participate the better the experience for everyone involved, so don’t put it off; regardless of your ability or whether or not you’re a first timer, the squad is sure to be a wonderful and rewarding journey for all.

The next Junior block training commences on Friday, 17th February at Duncraig High School.  This program is for Younger Juniors (7–11s) and those Competitive Juniors (12-15s) who are beginning in the sport.  To participate you must be a TWA and Junior Club member.  See our How to Join page for more information.  If you are already a member, you can go straight to the block registration, HERE.  For more information on junior training, see our WEBSITE.   Confused?   Hope not!!!

MONDAY 30th January

SWIMMING: JUNIORS SWIM SQUAD

Venue: HBF Arena Joondalup, Kennedya Drive
Time:6:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $10 per session paid via a swim card through register now ($90 for 10 sessions).

TUESDAY 31st January

RIDE: ILUKA LOOPS

Venue: Meet at Celebrations Whitfords
Time: 5:45am – 7:00am

RUN: TEMPO TRAINING

Venue: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys.
Time: 6:15pm – 7:15pm
Cost: $5.  Please purchase training card to minimise cash handling.
Details:  Tempo run session with Mike Bosch.


WEDNESDAY 1st February

SWIMMING: SQUADS AT CRAIGIE (new 7.30pm session-outdoor pool only)

Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre
Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm & 7:30pm – 8:30pm (new session-outdoor pool)
Cost: $10 or less with a training card
Details: Indoor squad in 25m pool, outdoor squad in 50m pool.  The indoor squad is for adults and juniors (12+) who need swim fitness, stroke correction and technique development.  The outdoor session is based on building pace awareness and speed. Refer website for more information.


THURSDAY 2nd February

RIDE: HILLARYS & SACRED HEART

Venue: Meet at Celebrations Whitfords
Time: 5:45am – 7:00am

RUN: INTERVAL TRAINING

Venue: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys
Time: 6:15pm – 7:15pm
Cost: $5 or less with a training card.
Details: 2 groups to choose from Juniors and Beginner/Techniques group (Janine Kaye) and Advanced/Performance Group (Mike Bosch). For details about these sessions, see the Run Training section.


FRIDAY 3rd February

SWIMMING: CRAIGIE LEISURE CENTRE

Venue: Craigie Leisure Centre – 50m outdoor pool
Time: 10:30am – 11:30am  (2 lanes)
Cost: $10 or less with a training card.
Details: Take your pick: – short set up to 2.2km; longer set 2.7-3km. Pacing as per program with drills to develop technique.

AQUATHLON: CLUB AQUATHLON SERIES #8  TWA State Series Race #2

Venue: Sorrento Surf Club
Time: 5:30 – Pack Collection. Race start time 6:05pm

SATURDAY 4th February

RIDE: GUILDFORD HILLS MEDIUM RIDE

Venue: Meet at Guildford railway station (south eastern car park).
Time: 6:00am –  9.30am
Details:  Please wear club cycling kit.  You will need two water bidons, some food and spare tube, there will be water stops where we can refill our bidons.  For more information, please see website.

RIDE: NOVICE/JUNIORS RIDE

Venue: Meet at Sorrento Surf Club (north side of the club)
Time: 6:30am – 8:00am
Details: Kevin is your ride leader and is there for the older juniors and novice adults. Distance travelled is usually about 30kms.  See website for more details.

RIDE: CHOCOLATIERS

Venue: Meet at Sorrento Surf Club
Time: 6:00am
Details: The Chocolatiers are an intermediate group ride. The ride is ideal as a training or social ride for all age groups and all levels of cycling ability. Distances travelled usually between 45km to 60km with an average speed less than 26km/hour.


SUNDAY 5th February

SWIMMING: OPEN WATER

Venue: Sorrento Beach
Time: 8am
Details: This is a non-coached open water swim for anyone interested to swim as a mob from the beach. Distances depend on the day and what people feel like doing. Meet at the top of the steps at the wall above the beach.
