Ticket sales close end of day tomorrow (Tuesday 5pm). Now is your last chance to get your ticket through Register Now.

Whether you’re a new member, or long-term member you are welcome to come and enjoy a wonderful evening with other like-minded people. Enjoy the chance to dress up and mingle over pre-dinner drinks, a beautiful sit-down 3 course meal, plus speeches and awards. This is an important night to formally recognise the people in the club who have helped out throughout the 2015/16 season as well as congratulate the achievements of those athletes who have attained top rankings in specified categories.

We urge you to come and thank the many people who will receive Certificates of Appreciation – these are the people who, without a formal role on the committee, have made voluntary contributions of time and/or effort to put back something to the club. This is the only opportunity we have as a club to come together to formally recognise our Members so make sure you come if only just to show your appreciation to these worthy recipients.

Also come and congratulate those Members who have been voted by other club members for the coveted award of Club Person of the Year. There are also 4 Encouragement Awards (Male/Female Junior and Male/Female Senior), plus awards for Triathlete of the Year, Presidents Awards, and Outstanding Achievement. All these awards are kept secret so there will be lots of surprises on the night! And of course, there will be the Aquathlon bike draw for one lucky winner.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS.  Do you want to get involved in a world class sporting event without all the training???  Volunteers are now being sort for the  XXII Perth 2016 World Masters Championships (WMAC).

The event is a premier competition for world-class track and field athletes over 35 years. It is sanctioned by World Masters Athletics, an organisation designated by the IAAF to conduct the worldwide sport of masters athletics.

This event is held biannually in different countries since 1975. Our vision is to deliver the benchmark for future masters athletics championships by providing the best possible experience for participants and spectators.

We expect that approximately 2/3 of all competitors will be travelling internationally.

Our aim is to recruit up to 500 volunteers to achieve the Local Organising Committee’s vision and make this event an unforgettable success.

The event will be held from the 26th October until the 6th November 2016 and will take place at several venues such as WA Athletics Stadium, Banks of the Swan River, Ern Clark Athletics Centre and Alderbury and Perry lakes Reserve. Full details will be available at the official Perth 2016 website: http://www.perth2016.com.
