Well what a turnout! Over 100 Northcoasters and Families gathered together for our season opener last Sunday. It was wonderful to see a great mix of new and existing members of all ages gather together for a couple of drinks and a chinwag. David Martin gave a brief overview of what’s happening with the club this 2015 – 2016 season. Many thanks to Geoff Todd for his entertaining account of his journey of doing the Kona Ironman, oh and a special mention that Geoff must have the best looking calves in the club! After a couple of games it was prize time with the following members winning prizes Matt Bott, Tammy Lines son, Spiros Constantaras, Wilna Kemp and Lucy Kaye. Many thanks to Sarah Black and Kelli O’Neil for the yummy nibbles. The afternoon ended on a high with plans for training and winning the Mandurah Interclub Trophy – which of course goes straight to David Martin’s training room! Go North Coast lets give it everything we’ve got this season! Story By Emma Bott
Below are my speech notes which formed the majority of the formal activity of the event – David Martin
