MONDAY NIGHT SWIMMING
These sessions are held in blocks of 9 -10 weeks during the school term at Arena Joondalup in the 25m pool from 6-7pm on Monday nights. This is a squad type sessions so swimmers must be level 9 or above in school swimming and are required to bring their own fins and goggles.

FRIDAY NIGHT TRAINING SESSIONS

The first of our 5 weeks in this block of training sessions will take place this Friday 30th October at Duncraig Senior High School.
We will set up our registration area on the grass beside the tennis courts near the school entrance – look out for the North Coast Triathlon Club Flag. Please park in the main carpark off Sullivan Road at the front of the school as we will be utilising the small ones on the side of the school (Gilbert Rd) for our bike training.
All registered participants will need to bring:
• A bike – tyres pumped up and brakes working
• A well – fitting cycling helmet
• Running shoes
• A hat
• Water and sunscreen
Please arrive before 4.15pm for registration: – you will need to sign your child in and they will be marked with a number – this will be their number for the duration of the sessions.
Please note that for insurance purposes a parent or carer is required to stay on site for the duration of the session – it is unfortunately not possible to ‘drop and go”
The training itself will start at 4.30pm and run until 5.30pm.
We are also looking for four parent helpers for each of the sessions so ideally everyone should only need to help out once over the first five weeks. The only qualifications needed are enthusiasm to make the sessions as much fun as possible for the kids – we will let you know what to do e.g. helping set out equipment; marshalling; being an extra pair of hands and eyes when we are in the water… A parent roster sheet will be available at registration just add your name to the list against one of the sessions and let us know if you are happy to go in the water for the swimming sessions.
A reminder that the junior sessions will be alternating between Hillarys Marina for the open water swim and beach running sessions, and Duncraig Senior High school for the bike and run sessions (except one special one to include the clubs annual Max Greives run at Sorrento Surf Club)

4th March : windup – ocean play, beach games, mini aquathlon- SSLSC
Janine Kaye will be head coach for the swim/run sessions and the bike/run sessions will be coached by Janine for the 7-11 year olds, and the 12+ will be working with Kevin Chua on their cycling skills only.
