Here’s a summary of the NCTC training sessions for the week. Please refer to the calendar on the club website for more details or take the links below.
The highlight of the week is our big party night this Saturday at Joondalup Resort – starts at 6:30pm. Dinner, awards, inspirational guest speaker and some other little surprises are just some of what’s in store so frock up, put on your dancing shoes, and plan on a big night celebrating the great year we’ve had together.
MONDAY 22nd JUNE
* TRYSTARS SWIMMING: 6-7PM, Arena Joondalup
Inside, 25m pool. Coach Janine Kaye.
TUESDAY 23rd JUNE
* CLUB RIDE: 6-7.20am, Iluka Loop
It’s going to be cold but not wet (apparently) so wear your layers. Ride briefing at 5:55am at Celebrations drive-thru at Whitfords Shopping Centre ready for 6am ride start. More info and links to maps can be found here
* ARENA SWIMMING, 7pm
50m with Janine Kaye. This session is aimed at working on your swim efficiency, pacing and fitness over the winter months. Please bring your Fins, Pull Buoy, Paddles (we have some club PB and Paddles available). We are in the indoor heated pool but you’ll need to rug up for the walk back to the car!
WEDNESDAY 24th JUNE
* CRAIGIE SWIMMING, 6.30pm
Indoor pool with Pippa – This session is technique based and perfect for CT’s and those of us looking to develop confidence and stroke. Please bring your Fins, Pull Buoy, Paddles (we have some club PB and Paddles available).
Outdoor pool with Janine – This session is aimed at working on your swim efficiency, pacing and fitness over the winter months! Please bring your Fins, Pull Buoy, Paddles (we have some club PB and Paddles available). It is getting chilly outside so you are welcome to wear your wetsuit for this session (you will need to rinse it out thoroughly to avoid chlorine damage) or remember to bring lots of layers rug up for the walk back to the car!
THURSDAY 25th JUNE
* CLUB RIDE: Hillarys & Sacred Heart Repeats, 6am
* RUN: INTERVAL TRAINING : Moolanda Park, 6-7pm
Winter run sessions are at Moolanda Park, Moolanda Boulevard, Kingsley. Rob Lees will be coaching the session. With lots of running events over the winter, now is a great time to work on your running. These fun interval sessions are suitable for all levels and running experience. All welcome to come along and give it a go!
FRIDAY 26th JUNE
* CRAIGIE SWIMMING- 10.30am
Outdoor pool with David M. – this session will be a mix of drills and some endurance work. Suitable for all levels. Please bring your Fins, Pull Buoy, Paddles (we have some club PB and Paddles available).
SATURDAY 27th JUNE
* CT RIDE WITH KEVIN – SSLSC 6.30am
The junior club ride is departing from SSLSC this Saturday. Please be there at 6.15am for a 6.30am start. Don’t forget to wear your ID wristband and lights.
* CLUB RIDE – SWAN VALLEY CIRCUIT – 85km, SSLSC 7am

Swan Valley Circuit Meet at Sorrento Surf Club at 7am. This popular long ride heads out Hepburn Ave, up Lord Street to Ellenbrook where we enjoy a scenic section up to the Vines and out onto West Swan Rd. Everyone loves the ITT sprint back along Great Northern Highway trying to pick up some Strava cups and then we ride together back along Reid Hwy to Beechboro Rd and Hepburn Ave. Finishing with coffee and breakfast at Orion Cafe at Whitfords (outdoors next to the NAB bank). * Mudd Rush- 16th AUGUST, 2015
Volunteers are still being sought to help with the Mudd Rush at Rego, Bag security, course marshals, aid stations, the finish line and recovery. The club will receive a donation for your time.
* RACE AROUND ROTTNEST- 17th October, 2015
Volunteers required for race pack collection, race marshals, aid stations and finish line assistance. Volunteers will be provided with return trip to Rottnest as well as meals. The club will also receive a donation for your time.

With school holidays and the France cycling tour in July, our regular ride leaders are unavailable on the 2 dates listed to take the club ride. Please contact Michelle firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0417 217 376 if you are available and we can discuss putting up a ride of your choice.

Swim cards will be on hand at all sessions. The cards are $90 for 10 sessions (a saving of $10). Show the coach your payment receipt (paper or digital copy) and they can authorise your card!
