JUNIORS AND SENIORS:

* AQUATHLON 6 & PIZZA NIGHT – 19th December, 5.45pm

The next  Aquathlon is race 6 on this coming friday at the Sorrento Surf Life saving club, and incorporates our CHRISTMAS FUN NIGHT. Registration is at 5.45pm, and race briefing at 6pm. Distances are usually a swim of 400m to 600m, and a run from 3.2 to 3.4km. The bar will be open, and pizza will be delivered throughout the evening.  Come along to participate or spectate, and hang around for the pizza and good company! Families are welcome and christmas attire and merriment is encouraged! 🙂

The amazing Al & Suzie from Als Cycle Surgery have very generously offered to sponsor the Aquathlon series again this year with another sensational bike on offer!   This is the major prize for the Aquathlon series and to qualify,  members must compete in at least 6 of the events over the 12 event series (see dates here)  We are also very grateful that 3 of our members,  David & Michelle Martin (ExplorOz),  Lisa Vass (Sorrento Sports Massage) and Eve O’Hare (Eve’s PT Plus),  have generously donated  spot prizes at events. We hope to see you there!!:)

This is our last Aquathlon for the year, with the next race scheduled for the 9th January 2015!

* GUILDFORD HILLS RIDE: Saturday 20th December 6:00am

The best ride on the Calendar should be the last ride before Christmas and so it is. Guildford Hills Medium this Saturday, if you have not done it or are a regular we look forward to seeing you out there. This is without question the best ride we do and is suitable for everyone. We have many regrouping points, great views and a few nice hills to test out your legs. We meet at Guildford Railway Station car park (South Eastern End) for a 6AM departure ride for 78km, finishing at the Guildford Milk Bar for excellent coffee and food at the end.

* MOORE HILLS, SHORTER RIDE: Saturday 20th December 6:00am

Come out with Michelle for a new shorter Saturday ride course called Moore Hills. This shorter ride is targeted at around 50km and full details will be published on the website within the next few days. Starting Sorrento SLSC 6AM.

* BOXING DAY RIDE & BBQ: 26th December 7:30am

It is that special day again, when we have to get on the bike to remove some of the extra food and cheer we got into on Xmas day. This annual event is held on the grass just north of the Sorrento SLSC in front of the northern car park. We will have a short ride up to the Burns Beach and return back to Sorrento via Resolute and Swanston at a very easy and enjoyable pace. If you have one, why not dust off your precious steely or other vintage bike and bring it along for a ride, it is always great fun to admire and reminisce looking at these great older bikes.

When we get back to the grass area,  we encourage you to meet up with the rest of your family and have a (BYO everything) BBQ and relax on the on the grass with your triathlon friends. We expect the ride to take around 1 hour and will depart at 7:30AM returning to the grass area at around 8:30AM.
