We have a VERY busy weekend coming up  this week , as well as our usual training schedule…  so be sure to check out the calendar for the weekly training sessions available and get involved!  Highlights of the weeks activities include:

TRYSTARS:

* TRYSTARS TRAINING  – Friday 28th November, 4.30 pm

The session this week will be at Sacred Heart for both Trystars and CT’s. CT’s will cycle with Kevin and the Trystars will  be doing a cycling skills and running session. Parent help is encouraged and please try to arrive a few minutes early so we can register and be ready to go.  Registration is open at 4.20pm.

This is our last Trystars session for this year, as we break for christmas and holidays. We will return on Feb 13th 2015 and continue until March 13th 2015! 🙂

* SATURDAY MORNING CT RIDE WITH KEVIN – Saturday 29th November, 6.30am

This Saturday with Kevin leaving from Sorrento Surf Club.  Please be there at 6.15am for a 6.30am start. Don’t forget your lights and remember to wear your ID wristband.  This is a junior club ride.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS:

* BUSSO 70.3 FIRST TIMERS SEMINAR- Saturday 29th November, 3pm (Venue TBC)

One of our fabulous and very experienced members, Barry Silverlock, has very graciously taken over the role of providing a seminar and guidance to members that are new to the 70.3 or half ironman distance. This is a fabulous opportunity to learn from someone with so much passion and experience, as well as meet other members in the club who are new to the 70.3 race distance that you can train and share the experience with!  Please see the website, here, for more information and how to contact Barry to reserve your spot !

* MANDURAH INTERCLUBS- Sunday 30th November

YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU! Registration is closing soon for the Interclub Sprint distance race in Mandurah. NCTC would love to bring a full contingent of members to defend our trophy and bring it home again! Points are scored based on placing and participation (with double points for females).. So please support your club and sign up to come along to this fun day out. Northcoast community spirit is at its best for this race and it would be fantastic to see as many of you there as possible racing, supporting and enjoying the  bacon & eggs rolls at the end! Janine will have a special little “something” for everyone competing. NCTC visors will also be available to buy  at $20 each. For more information on the race and to sign up, follow this link .

*  SUNDOWNER-  Sunday 30th November, 3-5pm

We are hosting a little social gathering at the SSLSC in the afternoon following the interclub race. We will be honouring our amazing Kona athletes, sending our well wishes to those competing at IMWA, as well as hopefully celebrating our sensational victory at the interclub championship while we bask in the glory of the trophy/trophies we bring home 🙂

We would also love to take this opportunity to farewell our beloved swim coach, Clare Whitehead, who after 8 years with our club, is hanging up her North Coast coaches shirt as her family is moving to Margaret River. We are so grateful for everything Clare has done to support and encourage the club and members, and we would love to see as many of you as possible come along to give her a proper NCTC send off!  On the day, if you would like to leave Clare a personal message,  please look out for the sunflowers and a small postal box.  Simply write your message on the back of a sunflower and post it in the small sunflower box.
