Thank you – from Alise

I just wanted to write to say a big thank you to the club and to commend my fellow North Coast club members on their great community spirit. As you know, I had a fairly bad crash off my bike last Saturday. I have been amazed and overwhelmed this past week by the amount of support and well wishes from North Coast club members as I’m recovering at home.

Not only did a couple of awesome people (Arron and Mikey) accompany me in the ambulance and at the hospital when I had the accident (and Blake took care of my bike!), but all week I’ve had offers from club members to come and help me with house work, clothes washing and cooking. I’ve also been spoilt with flowers, coffees, and lovely messages sent to me even from people that I may have only met once or twice.

Whilst my fantastic mum had the cooking side of things covered, the offers of help have absolutely blown me away, as I’ve only been in the club for around a year, and some of these people I’ve only met a handful of times. I’ve been in numerous sporting clubs over the years and I’ve never experienced such a great community vibe and a feeling of belonging as I have with North Coast. You really do make life long friends in this club.

In my day job I do a lot of work with teenagers to get them engaged with community clubs and activities, and I’m constantly trying to promote the message of ‘act belong commit’ which I feel that North Coast does so well. If the young people that I work with all took up triathlons and joined the club I might be out of a job šŸ˜‰

Basically I just wanted to say a huge thank you, keep it up and you all rock!! šŸ™‚

Kindest Regards,
