Come and challenge the “valley” …… if you dare. 120k of classic and at times gruelling bike riding – a great endurance builder for all contemplating the IM 70.3 later in May.

“Rob’s new titanium cranium death valley ride” is the theme for this years excursion. We are endeavouring to raise funds to assist former Club President Rob Lees cover his living expenses as he endures setback after setback with his medical procedures. Stay tuned for how you can contribute to this worthy cause – details are also available on the Club FaceBook pages.

Departing from the Sorrento Surf Club Car Park,  April 20th at 5.00am, we’ll cycle through the Eastern Suburbs and into “Death Valley’ at O’Brien Rd. At this point we will by ability level, form smaller groups to negotiate the Valley – it is important not to get isolated, so find a buddy and work together. Gidgegannup is the turnaround/refreshment stop and muster point for the group ride home. Expect to get back to Surf Club at around 11.00am.

This ride is an alternative to the regular Saturday ride to Two Rocks on April 20th. Plenty more information to come – “stay tuned”
