Running and Biking Training
This is for Younger TRYstars (7–11s) and those Competitive TRYstars (CTs) (12-15s) who are beginning in the sport.It is held from 4:30pm on a Friday night at Duncraig Senior High School or Sorrento Life Saving Club on the dates listed on the website. We meet on the oval 5-10minutes early if possible and register. You will then have your number placed on your hand and a name badge. You then go to your coach who will organise the groups and activities for the session. You will need to bring Bike, Helmet, Running Shoes, Water Bottle, Hat and Suncreen. Bathers Goggles and Towel (Splash and Dash / Aquathon).
At 5:15 – 5:30pm we run a mini duathlon / splash and dash (parent help will be appreciated to marshal strategic spots on the course) while the CTs complete their cycle ride. This is followed by spot prize draws.
Note: For Younger TRYstars, a parent or friend must stay during training to assist with marshalling, taking your child to the toilet or being there if they have any scrapes or bumps. If the parent can’t stay, then please place the name of the nominated person responsible for your child on the sign in sheet at registration.
The new website should be operational very soon and will have the whole season training program. The first two weeks are as follows:
