This Saturday is the club duathlon at SSLC. This consists of a 2km group run, followed by a cycle to Mullaloo and back (supervised by Kevin) then a 3 lap run of the grass area. Please be there at 6.30am to set up and for a briefing before the 7am start. Don’t forget lights for your bike and winter clothing. Please also wear your ID wristband. This is not a race and you only need to do what you are comfortable with.
For those not on Facebook the weather tomorrow looks very bad. I will post a final update tomorrow morning at 6am if the rides or on or off. This update will be for both rides, if the weather looks OK we will be on, if as predicted it will be off. So 6AM tomorrow you and I will know.

Swim squad will recommence on Monday 21st July at 6.30 at Arena Joondalup.
We have a few spots still available. Kids must be 9-12yrs, be proficient in freestyle and breathing technique and at least level 8. This is an introduction to squad swimming and not swimming “lessons”. They swim about 1.5km, working on speed and endurance.
Spaces are limited so please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to enrol.
It is a 10 week term so cost will be $70 plus pool entry fee. Payment details will be sent shortly
We are going ahead with today’s rides. So get to the start points 7AM Sorrento or Guildford. Take care out there and have a good ride. You may get a little wet but there is only scattered showers and no wind at this stage.
We have two rides this weekend and I have just updated the calendar to reflect the new choice. So get your bike out, dust off the cobb webs and make your way out to one of our two awesome rides:
Ride 1: Guildford Hills A/B – 7AM Guildford Railway Station car park – with David Martin
Ride 2: Jindalee Coast – 7AM Sorrento SLSC – with Mark Hoffman and Steve Waterman.
This Saturday we have the Freo & River ride on the schedule and to make it easier for everyone I have just published a new page with all the ride details. So for maps, profiles and course details see Freo & River catch you tomorrow 7AM Sorrento SLSC.
We are pleased to announce that we have confirmed Simon Beaumont as our MC for our end of season function. Many of you will know Simon from his long term involvement in our sport, commentating races in WA including the Trievents series, and Busselton Ironman and Half Ironman races.
Also a reminder that your first drink is included in your dinner ticket price.
As the summer triathlon season has come to a close, we again welcome the opportunity for all members to come together, to celebrate everyones achievements, acknowledge the effort of all those who contribute to the ongoing success of our club, and let our hair down without the pressure of imminent races!
Our end of season function will be upstairs at Hillarys Yacht Club, on Saturday 19th July, kicking off at 6:30pm.
Tickets can be purchased via the Register Now link below:
We look forward to seeing you all on 19th July!
